Restaurant-Style Salsa
This tomato-based salsa may be the easiest one you ever make, and it tastes just like restaurant versions! Tomato, garlic, onion, cilantro, lime and a touch a of jalapeno and cilantro. Add a serrano pepper if you like it spicy!

- 1 Can Diced or Whole Tomatoes 28 oz.
- 1 Bunch Cilantro
- 2 Limes, Juiced Or 3 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 Small Onion Yellow or White
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Large Jalapeño Or More for Extra Spice
- 1 Serrano Pepper (Optional)
- 1/2 Tbsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Salt
Peel the onion and garlic.
1 Small Onion, 3 Cloves Garlic
Give a rough chop to the onion, garlic, cilantro, jalapeno and (optional) serrano pepper.
1 Bunch Cilantro, 1 Large Jalapeño, 1 Serrano Pepper
Add all the ingredients (add only the juice of the limes) to your blender/food processor and pulse until everything is chopped down to a desired size. You want everything to essentially be minced, but make sure you don't go too far and blend it into salsa soup.
1 Can Diced or Whole Tomatoes, 2 Limes, Juiced, 1/2 Tbsp Cumin, 1 tsp Salt
If using a blender, consider blending the tomatoes in one batch and everything else (which can be blended much smaller) in a second batch. Mix the batches together in a bowl.
You can serve the salsa right away, but I recommend letting it chill for at least an hour. This will let the flavors meld together and allow the bubbles/froth from blending to disperse. The longer you chill, the better.
Serve with chips or on top of tacos, or mix with smashed avocado for some pretty solid guacamole. Try mixing it with sour cream for a creamy salsa dip.
