Equipment

  • 24-32 Toothpicks or Skewers
  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • Normal Kitchen Utensils

Ingredients

  • 1 3.75 Oz. Tin Smoked Oysters
  • 6-8 Slices Bacon 6-8 Oz.
  • Worcestershire Sauce For Garnish
  • Lemon Wedges For Garnish (Optional)

Instructions

  • If using wood toothpicks or skewers, soak them in water for at least ten minutes and preferably 30 minutes. This helps mitigate burning in the oven.
  • Quarter your bacon slices - slice them in half widthwise and then lengthwise.
(Smoked oysters are small, so you need small pieces of bacon to wrap them in.)
    6-8 Slices Bacon
  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F
  • While the oven preheats, wrap the oysters.
Grab an oyster from the tin and wrap one of the bacon strip quarters around it. Secure it with a toothpick and place it on a foil-lined baking sheet.
1 3.75 Oz. Tin Smoked Oysters
  • Bake the angels at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until the bacon is crispy.
    Flip halfway through baking.
  • Remove the angels from the oven and drizzle with a little bit of Worcestershire sauce. Drizzle with a little (optional) lemon juice as well, if desired.
    Worcestershire Sauce, Lemon Wedges
  • Serve hot, with a dish of Worcestershire sauce for dipping, and a few lemon wedges as a garnish.
